Position: Digital Marketing Coordinator

Hours: Full-time 35hr/ week 
Start Date – End Date: July 6 – Aug 29, 2026
Pay: $18.60/ hr 
Location: Remote and on-site in Waterloo, ON 
Restrictions: For youth aged 15-30 

Eligibility:  

This position is funded by the Canada Summer Jobs program. To be eligible for the position, applicants must

  • be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period 
  • be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment 
  • have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations 

*International students are not eligible. International students include anyone who is temporarily in Canada for studies and who is not a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person who has been granted refugee status in Canada. Youth awaiting a refugee status ruling, as well as those who hold a temporary visitor visa, youth visa or work visa are ineligible. 

Description: 

The Digital Marketing Coordinator will assist the Marketing and Outreach Manager and Graphic Designer in developing, producing, distributing and archiving marketing and promotional materials. The Digital Marketing Coordinator will also help to implement public relations strategies with e-newsletters, social media, and other digital forms of public engagement.  Responsibilities will include:    

  • Working with the Marketing Outreach Manager to assist in creating and implementing a marketing and public relations plan and editorial calendar for the remainder of the 2025-2026 season and in preparation for the 2026-27 Presenting Series, launching in September 2026. 
  • Researching, recommending, and implementing audience engagement and development strategies.  
  • Updating and developing internal marketing resources (contact lists, press kits, distribution lists, etc.)  
  • Assisting with updating the company’s website   
  • Creating content for e-newsletters, website updates, social media posts etc. for public distribution  
  • Updating online promotional listings  
  • Creating and distributing general and targeted invitations to events, including the 2026-27 Season Opening 
  • Assisting in the creation of digital and print marketing and promotional materials  
  • Helping to build and maintain relations with media partners  
  • Overseeing the distribution of promotional materials  
  • Seeking and implementing cross-promotion opportunities with local organizations and businesses   
  • Collecting marketing and promotional materials throughout the summer from artists to be presented in the 2026-27 Season 
  • Other tasks as assigned 

Requirements:  

This is a hybrid position. The role requires working at least 2 days in-person at our office in Waterloo.  

  • Experience with social media (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.) and working with design software such as Canva     
  • Experience working within the arts or non-profit organizations an asset  
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office and Outlook an asset   
  • Preferred level of education: post-secondary
