Online Auction for the Majdi Bou-Matar Bursary 2023
“I call on your help again as we make a final push to solidify the establishment of the Majdi Bou-Matar Bursary fund. A year ago, we brought our milestone piece The Last 15 Seconds back home for a ‘final’ performance to honour the legacy of the founder of MT Space and the IMPACT Festival, Majdi Bou-Matar.”

A ‘do not be silent’ online auction
Beginning on Giving Tuesday, November 28, 2023, MT Space will be hosting an online silent auction with all proceeds going to towards the Majdi Bou-Matar Bursary fund. You can also donate directly to MT Space as well. All items and services were donated from community members or organizations that believe in continuing Majdi’s legacy of lifting barriers and supporting artists.
Take this opportunity to support the arts while finding that special someone in your life (or yourself) that perfect gift. More info below.
We also accept regular cash donations at this time of year as well. All donations will go towards the bursary fund and help provide financial support and mentorship from MT Space for a newcomer, immigrant, and/or emerging artist working in the field of theatre.
Donations to MT Space, IMPACT, or the bursary can be made through CanadaHelps.
In-person Payment & Pickup
Help us maximize your generous contribution by making your payment directly to MT Space in-person or via eTransfer when possible.
We also invite you to join us at our Annual General Meeting (AGM) at 6:00 p.m. December 12th at First United Church, 16 William Street West, Waterloo, ON.
Celebrate the past year with us and claim your gifts! Payment can be made in-person at the event, with cash, eTransfer, or card (via SquareReader).

- Enter the building through the side door connected to the parking lot (via Caroline St.).
- Parking is available for free on-site (accessible from Caroline St.) and next door at the Waterloo Town Square South Parking Lot (35 Alexandra Ave,, Waterloo).
- Public Transit / GRT access is via the iON (route 301) or by bus (routes 5, 7, 16)
For those who can’t attend, MT Space will reach out to winners to arrange pick-up or local delivery of auction items, including vouchers.
