• In Memory: Myrta Rivera, Founding Board Member of MT Space 4.10.2012

    MT Space was deeply saddened by the passing of Myrta Rivera, one of our founding Board Members, on September 24. Myrta was a key supporter of our Artistic Director, Majdi Bou-Matar, when he first arrived in Waterloo as a new immigrant with ambitious ideas for creating a space for immigrant artists to flourish.

  • Artistic Director Majdi Bou-Matar receives Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal 11.7.2012

    On Wednesday July 11th, 2012 at the Kitchener City Hall Rotunda it was MT Space Artistic Director's deep honour and unexpected privilege to receive a Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. The medal was presented by John Milloy, MPP Kitchener Centre.

    Special Thanks for the recognition of diversity, unique expression, and the professional practice of art in this region, province and country.

  • My Paper presented at Congress 2012 26.5.2012

    The theatre for social change show My Paper is being presented three times at Congress of the Humanities 2012. The play was originally commissioned for CU Expo in 2011 at Wilfrid Laurier and is being presented at the Theatre of the Arts in the Modern Languages building at the University of Waterloo.

    My Paper addresses the United Nations' Millennial Goals and the crises faced by the global community.
