  • IMPACT 11 Opening Night 21.9.2011

    Tonight marked the opening of the IMPACT 11 international theatre festival.

    After months of preparation, doors opened and the curtains rose.

    The opening ceremony was a mixture of cultural performances from all over the world. It was an experience full of dances, songs, costumes, lights and movements that make the IMPACT 11 stages in downtown Kitchener the ideal place to play, engage, rejuvenate and party!

    Last Night, Tino Fernandez and L’Explose Danza Contemporánea arrived in Canada!

    Staying at the Walper Hotel, L’Explose moves straight into rehearsal and preparation for Opening night, this Wednesday Sept 21 at 9pm. This brilliant Colombian company will spend the next couple days in production rehearsals, perfecting their provocative and controversial performance, La Razon de las Ofelias which has two shows only.

    The Circle in the Space—a virtual circle fundraising initiative of supporters donating $1,000 or more to the development of The MT Space—was announced at the IMPACT 11 launch at The Walper Hotel on July 27th, 2011.

  • $100,000 Grant Supports the MT Space’s Vitality 28.7.2011

    The MT Space is honoured to receive a $100,000 grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation. These funds are specifically dedicated to hiring a general manager to focus on the day-to-day, development and sustainability of the company over the next two years.

    MPP for Kitchener Centre, John Milloy and Ontario Trillium Foundation Representative, Peter Hinchcliffe announced the financial support of the OTF at the official Launch of IMPACT 11 on July 27th at The Walper Hotel.

  • IMPACT 11 Officially Launched 28.7.2011

    The MT Space was pleased to announce the launch of IMPACT 11 on July 27th at the Walper Hotel.  The MT Space celebrated their phenomenal growth of the last 7 years with over 50 supporters gathered for an evening of significant announcements.  MP Stephen Woodworth reiterated the commitment of Heritage minister James Moore to the arts and an important grant that is fuelling IMPACT 11 in a big way.
