• Ahmad's Arrival in KW 3.8.2016

    We are so pleased to announce Ahmad Mire'e's arrival into Canada. Ahmad arrived early morning July 25th, and has now settled into his new home. On behalf of MT Space, Najda Now Canada, and Ahmad Mire'e, we want to thank everyone who helped to make his arrival a reality. 

    We invite you to join us for Ahmad's Canadian debut February 16-18 alongside our very own Artistic Associate, Nada Humsi in a Double Bill.

    MT Space is thrilled to bring back Vanguardia Dance as part of this year’s Kultrun Fe​stival hosted by Neruda Arts. After the success of last year’s performance, Remembering the Farewells, which was performed for one night in Victoria Park, we decided to bring back the company and commission them to create a new work specifically for Kultrun 2016!

    Artistic Director of Tunisia’s National Theatre, Fadhel Jaïbi, is one of the greatest masters of theatre in the Arab world. His productions have toured widely around the world for the past 40 years. An outstanding director and teacher, Jaïbi has built a legendary legacy in Tunis and the Arab world.

    Initiated in 1961 by the International Theatre Institute (ITI), world theatre day is celebrated globally on March 27th each year. In addition to numerous events occurring around the world, a message from an important figure in the international theatre community is circulated. There has been a World Theatre Day message every year since 1962; past authors have included theatre practitioners such as Peter Brook, Edward Albee, Robert Lepage, Augusto Boal, Dame Judi Dench, John Malkovich and Dario Fo.
