    MT Space is thrilled to bring back Vanguardia Dance as part of this year’s Kultrun Fe​stival hosted by Neruda Arts. After the success of last year’s performance, Remembering the Farewells, which was performed for one night in Victoria Park, we decided to bring back the company and commission them to create a new work specifically for Kultrun 2016!

  • World Theatre Day 2016 27.3.2016

    Initiated in 1961 by the International Theatre Institute (ITI), world theatre day is celebrated globally on March 27th each year. In addition to numerous events occurring around the world, a message from an important figure in the international theatre community is circulated. There has been a World Theatre Day message every year since 1962; past authors have included theatre practitioners such as Peter Brook, Edward Albee, Robert Lepage, Augusto Boal, Dame Judi Dench, John Malkovich and Dario Fo.

    Despite the cancellation of Camp by the National Theatre Company of Iraq, which was to run at IMPACT 15, we are determined to bring the cast to Canada.

  • Camp at IMPACT 15 Cancelled After Visas Refused 18.9.2015

    Due to lack of visas from the Canadian government, we have been forced to cancel Camp at IMPACT 15. The show is about  two characters seeking refuge from violence, pain and death in their country.

    Performed by the National Theatre Company of Iraq, Camp was scheduled to run on Saturday, September 26 and Sunday, September 27 at The Registry Theatre in Kitchener.

    This biennial award, sponsored by Tottering Biped Theatre, will be given during the IMPACT festival to partners, friends and supporters of theatre artists in Waterloo Region.

    The award is designed to acknowledge the tremendous and often publicly unrecognized contributions that partners, friends, and supporters of artists make to artists, festivals, and the community as a whole.
