The Season of Immigration to the West
New Project receives Ontario Arts Council Grant
Kitchener , Ontario - On November 10th, 2004, the Ontario Arts Council (OAC) announced the recipients of their Theatre Projects Development Phase II grants. The OAC jury received 90 applications and chose only 32 programs to receive funding. We are pleased to announce that The MT Space was among the winning projects!
The MT Space is elated by the OAC's decision to support the forthcoming project; The Season of Immigration to the West. This grant will enable the MT Space to collect stories of immigration from the multicultural community and develop them into a stage production. The support of the OAC will help us contribute to the development of contemporary theatre in the Waterloo Region, while simultaneously providing an outlet for immigrant voices in our area. The MT Space would like to express our extreme gratitude to the OAC for this opportunity; Thank-you Ontario Arts Council!

Performance | Nijinsky Through a Window
Inaugural Workshop Production
This performance is a glimpse of Nijinsky's life through a window. The window is a screen through which the people involved in this performance - artists and audience alike - view Nijinsky's life according to their own perspective and history. As a theatre company, we believe that there are no prescribed interpretations. We encourage you to view both our Nijinsky in performance and in history - through your own window and find the meaning that relates to you.
Early on, this piece was know as Nijinsky, Mariage avec Dieu and evolved into Nijinsky, Through a Window towards the end of the workshop process.
More information on the workshop production of Nijinsky, through a window can be found here.
