We have Charitable Status - Donate Now!

Dear friends of MT Space,

We are less than two weeks away from the end of our 11th season. For the 11th year in a row we have created original culturally diverse work, presented Indigenous and immigrant voices, and told human stories from across the globe.

It has been a year full of triumphs—we've visited schools, worked with newcomer and marginalized youth, and toured to communities in the far east, west and north of this great and vast country.

It was also a year for huge personal commitments:  I moved with my family to the U.S., our General Manager Ashley had a baby and went on maternity leave, while two of our Artistic (and office) Associates, Pam and Nick (along with myself) spent two months away from home in Whitehorse in the Yukon in the dead of winter creating our new show Paradise with Gwaandak Theatre.

The big MT Space milestone I am happy to share with you today is: we are finally a registered charity! Our charitable status has been approved effective January 23, 2015 and our charitable registration number is 86219 2291 RR0001. During the application process, MT Space’s ability to collect donations was interrupted. Most of you have donated to us in the past through our mother charity the KW Multicultural Centre. This practice had to stop the moment we applied for charitable status. This meant a shortfall in our donation revenue.  We are still $3,700 from our very modest June 30th goal of $10,000.

We are gearing up for IMPACT 15, our international theatre festival taking place September 22-27, and we have a full season of Indigenous and culturally diverse work coming up.

2015-2016 will be no less amazing than any previous year.

To keep us moving forward on solid ground, please make a donation today. Help us reach our goal before our fiscal year end on June 30th.

Make history by being one of the first to receive
a charitable receipt directly from MT Space!

Thank you,
Majdi Bou-Matar, Founding Artistic Director, MT Space
