The Festival Bar

The Rum Runner, located conveniently underneath The Walper Hotel and at the epicentre of the festival, will feature a late night buffet of musical and variety acts from near and far. Enjoy a drink after a riveting performance, snack on sweet potato fries or other delectable bar cuisine , and enjoy the ambiance of the vaults formerly used for actual rum running.




Wednesday Night | The Girly Show | KW’s Favourite Burlesque Troupe
They sing! They dance! They take off their pants! Specializing in retro adult entertainment,  The Girly Show is SW Ontario’s only Theatrical Burlesque troupe. Five lovely ladies shimmy, shake and twirl their tassels in a style reminiscent of days gone by, captivating their audiences through the Art of Tease. Take it off!
Thursday Night | Latin Fusion Trio
The Latin Fusion Trio is made up of Suneal Pal, Neil Douglas and Arun Pal who have all been playing for over 25 years. The trio consists of two guitar players and percussionist creating a fusion that includes Latin jazz, rumba flamenco, bossa nova, tango, salsa and popular music. Their material includes original compositions as well as their own
arrangements of Santana, The Eagles, Sting and Al DeMeola, Ottmar Liebert, Jesse Cook, Vincente Amigo, Michael Roberts and more. Audiences are captivated by exotic rhythms and masterful guitar work. In 2008 the Latin Fusion Trio was honored to open for internationally renowned Latin jazz singer Amanda Martinez at The Gig Theatre in
Kitchener, Ontario.

Friday Night | Just One Sound Inside | Friends of the Floor
Tanya Williams is a context artist with a passion for dancing with systems—in
community, land, and body, for over twenty years, drawing on site-specific & physical theatre, contact improvisation, Dynamic Integration and Alexander Technique. She founded Friends of the Floor Dance-Theatre and currently resides in the living experiment: Household as Ecology. Robert Kingsbury works equally in dance, music for the stage and choreography, and creates sound, film & movement. Chosen by David Earle as emerging artist of 2011 at the Premier’s Excellence Awards, Robert is honored to be working in Guelph & KW’s rich community of artists. 
Just One Sound Inside site specific exploration of the experience of inner states of being through relationship.
Sunday Night | UW Water Boys | A cappella
The Water Boys were formed in the summer of 2008 as a small group of committed singers. The first a cappella group at the University of Waterloo, this all-male troupe sings a variety of contemporary music along with some older classics. The Water Boys focus on musical excellence in all they do and enjoy singing, performing, and having fun together. Notable past performances for the Water Boys include performing with Mark Cassius of the Nylons for Black History Month, performing at the opening of the International Informatics Olympiad in 2010, and performing for then University President and now Governor General David Johnston’s farewell events.
